Back to back shutouts for the Pythons!

Pythons were on the road to Cambridge this past Saturday as they took on the Kodiaks 2 for their next fixture.

First period saw the Pythons go straight on the offensive at the first face off, with good pressure in the opening minutes, they were rewarded with their first goal of the game at just over five minutes from Quilter, assisted by Basing. Pythons remained strong throughout the rest of the first and the period ended winning 1-0.

Carrying the momentum from the first, in the opening minute of the second, Freeland found the back of the net unassisted to increase the lead by two and went onto score her second of the game just over a minute later off a feed from Adamson. Now leading by three, Pythons didn’t pull up on the pressure and Quilter was the next to find the back of the net for her second of the game before Freeland knocked another in for a second period hat trick off a feed from Parker. A couple of minutes before the end of the second, Adamson found an opening and the Pythons were leading 6-0 heading into the third.

Pythons again continued their campaign heading into the third and Dadd found the back of the net in the opening minute, with Carroll-Clare logging the assist. Pythons did well to continue pressuring and holding strong defensively and in the final couple of minutes Adamson found the back of the net again for her second, and I. Morena with the assist, and Basing finding another opening just before the final buzzer off a feed from Quilter and the strong performance from the Pythons ended with a 9-0 win.
